Play on the server when it's outdated

Hey, as many of you know, minecraft has been updated to version beta 1.5. Heres a link to downgrade your client to 1.4_01. The version of server software we are running.

How to use this

1.Download the client (http://digiex.net/minecraft/mcvtool)
2.Open it
3. Hit "Download More Jars"
4. Hit the Jar file of the version you want (In this case 1.4_01)
5. Under the Jar Name tab, find the jar file you just downloaded.
6. PLAY!

This doesn't work for me:( all I get is a black screen.

At my party on Friday i would be glad to give you a walk through of how to download it and use it.

For some reason it isn't working for me with the 1.6 update, but I found another way to do it

Unfortunately you need a 1.5 version of the JAR file, but this can be used for future updates.
